Following the outstanding reception to Jantra’s electronic jaglara dance sounds, honed from his home town of Gedarif in the Al Fashaga province of Sudan, we invited fans to submit their most heartfelt efforts at remixing the album they loved.

Four winners are presented here as Ostinato’s first ever remix EP. Included are Anton Ingvarsson of Stockholm, Sweden, Max and Ingo (Misumena) of Duisburg, Germany, and Mista Sanches of the island that Ostinato loves—Santiago, Cabo Verde. Each has put their unique touch, transforming an already heavy electronic music release into dance floor ready bangers.

But the most interesting submission, which opens this EP, came in the most cryptic form. Ostinato received a mysterious hard wood, engraved package with nothing more than a cassette and a small note that said: “You are invited on a journey to visit the world of FEEÑ.” After a quick google search of the artist name, we found an equally mysterious website with little more than a call to action to subscribe to the newsletter. FEEÑ's remix is life affirming, slaloming through past, present, and future, a soundtrack to a heady, digital, synth and vapor wave future. All we know is we’ll be subscribing to the newsletter — www.worldoffeen.com.

This EP will be available exclusively on Bandcamp only for 1 month before landing on digital and streaming platforms.

As a bonus, we also put to vote a t-shirt design on instagram and the winning imprint is available here. Designed in collaboration with “Synthesized Sudan” artwork maestro Mahammed El Mekki and heavily followed German-Ghanaian artist Armah Art (@armah.art on instagram). Given the intricacy and quality of design, we are meticulously printing and choosing the appropriate quality material and tee. These are on pre-order and will ship in early April.

If we get enough requests for a vinyl release, we will press this EP on wax. Until then, the most important function you can use is “repeat” on your preferred listening device.
